Disney Plus Hotstar launched on 3rd of April this year after a postponement due to coronavirus. After the announcement, ₹CCI announced the called off Indian Premier League after Indian government bans gathering of people to prevent spreading of the virus.

The payments apps like Phone Pe and Mobikwik are also selling the hotstar subscriptions by offering a cashback of 10%.
