The plot starts with Delhi police intelligence officers arresting four people Vishal Tyagi, Tope Singh, Kabir M, Mary Lyngdoh after an anonymous call for conspiracy to murder of a famous journalist, Sanjeev Mehra (NeeKabi).
DCP Bhagat (Vipin Sharma) appoints Hathi Ram Chaudhary (Jaideep Ahlawat) as the lead investigating officer, in this case. Hathi Ram and Imran Ansari (Ishwak Singh) starts their investigating their roles in this case.
Vishal Tyagi (Abhishek Banerjee) is a hitman, wanted for 45 Murders in Uttar Pradesh, Tope Singh (Jagjeet Sandhu) a helper for Tyagi, wanted for beheading a fellow villager, Kabir M (Aasif Khan) is a carjacker and driver, Mary Lyngdoh (Mairembam Ronaldo Singh) to divert people. These four people were hired to kill Sanjeev Mehra (NeeKabi).
This whole 9 episode series is how Hathi Ram Chaudhary investigated this case to find out the truth. Even though he was suspended for leaking sensitive details to media and the case transferred to CBI, Ram Choudhary didn't stop investigating the case.
In a press brief, CBI states that these four having connections with ISI terrorist group. Imran Ansari identifies some big conspiracy is going on and alerts Hathi Ram which makes them curious.
This series is not like a cop movie where everything is rushed to solve the mystery behind it. Director takes his time to convey his message and every detail clearly. I will definitely say that this series will not make you bore at any part.
But some highly graphic violence such as Tyagi killing students with a hammer, the guts coming of the brain is shown in the series which requires some courage to watch. This elevates Tyagi's character and starts for his criminal career.
Child abuse, Mob lynching of Muslims, transgender are the topics you will see in this series. I think the director took too far with child abuse scene. I don't know whether it's legal or not but that's made feel embarrassed to watch on Amazon Prime Video.
Overall, after Hathi Ram learning the truth with huge difficulty, he was suppressed by giving his job back. All four of them was sent to trial for conspiracy of murder. Just like in Jhon Wick a dog changes the whole story.
