You Can Assess COVID-19 Symptoms in Aarogya Setu

Indian Government launched the Aarogya Setu App to assess and track coronavirus on 1st of April. This Application is available in 13 different languages. Till now the app has above half a million installs in play store.

Registering 

To register in this App you need to provide your cell phone number and you need to enter the OTP that is been sent to your registered mobile number. Then you will be taken to a form where you need to fill in your details like your name, gender, profession, travel history, and an option to volunteer when needed.

After registering you will be assessed based on your answers and shows that chances of risk in Risk Meters like Low, Medium and High Risk.

This App stores and sends your GPS data and Bluetooth data to the Government of India. By using this data, if you are near to any diagnosed patient who installed the app, you will receive a warning that you are at risk and Risk Meter changes to High or medium, then you need to consult a nearby coronavirus approved hospital and get diagnosed.

This App requires 

• High precise locations services such as Global Positioning System (GPS) and 
• Bluetooth needs to be always on while registering the App.

This high precise location services can exactly identify your location accurately within 3 meters so there is a high chance you will be monitored every time.

The Bluetooth needs to be always on so that your Bluetooth will connect but not pair to the other devices within a 6-meter radius around you so you will be sending data about your those you came to contact, friends and family.

This app helps the government to track and trace their contacts easily when anyone contracts the virus and helps diagnoses them too.

My Suggestion

Better be safe than sorry, well the data collected by the Indian Government is to help us. Unless you are doing something wrong there is nothing to fear. No one wants to be infected right? Then why not install this app and help the government save time and money. These are crucial at this time of the pandemic.

If you have another spare phone with you, install the app on that phone if you are worried about battery life.

And another feature is you can opt for volunteering when it's required. I think when there is a requirement in manpower the Indian Government will involve volunteers to help the government.
