Hasmukh: Kill for Feel | A Netflix Series Review

Hasmukh: The 10-episode show has been directed by Nikhil Gonsalves, co-written by lead actor Vir Das, director Nikhil Gonsalves, Suparn Verma, Amogh Ranadive and Neeraj Pandey

Series starts Hasmukh (Vir Das) killing his mentor Gulati (Manoj Pahwa) for not giving a chance to perform on stage as a stand-up comedian. The fear of killing a human makes perform well on the stage. Gulati's manager Jimmy (Ranvir Shorey) finds him as a crowd puller and money.

So Jimmy joined as a manager, starting to find people to kill and cover bodies for Hasmukh. But Hasmukh made a pledge that he would only kill a bad person. If he didn't kill anyone before the show he can't able to perform well. So he decided to kill a human before performing the show.

After a video of his standup comedy went viral they both went to Mumbai to participate in a TV comedy reality show and started killing people before the shows by strangling to death with a belt. This leaves a trail to police which makes Hasmukh and Jimmy suspects.

When he kills a bad person he would talk in the comedy show about the mistakes made by the victim, this shows that he is justifying his actions. Some of them are just good in this show and make yourself think.

In this series whenever there is a standup comedy there is a dead body. So just for your confidence to perform a show killing criminals is giving a wrong message to people who takes seriously.

Each episode feels like you are watching CID with no police involved and police can't find anything on both Hasmukh and Jimmy in this entire series even though they kill a person per episode. There are a few more romantic scenes with supporting actor than the main.

If you can watch the first two episodes without skipping you can complete the entire show in a go.

My Rating 5/10
