Xiaomi is now offering one-day delivery option for over 150 cities across India.

Xiaomi is the leading smartphone brand in India but besides selling its devices on other e-commerce platforms such as a Flipkart and Amazon, the company also sells products through its own online store.

With the kind of popularity that Xiaomi – and Redmi – enjoy in the country, its store hosted via Mi.com has been the third-largest e-commerce platform in the country for the last one year. Extending its services as an online shopping platform further, Xiaomi is now offering “guaranteed” one-day delivery option for over 150 cities across India.

If you place your order on Mi.com before 3PM of each day, you should receive the product the next day. This delivery option is available not just on smartphones but a wide variety of products including TVs, smart devices, and accessories.

While the service was previously limited to Bangalore, which is where Xiaomi India’s headquarters are, the service can be available in cities like Delhi/NCR, Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad, and more. When you select the “Express Delivery” option while buying a product, you can enter your pin code to check if the feature is available in your city.

For the express next-day delivery, Xiaomi has a flat ₹49 charge for any location throughout India. Further, the delivery option is also available on cash on delivery. For now, the service is only available for weekdays and not on Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays. Further, the service is not currently available for exchange orders but the option should be available soon.

Xiaomi says that if the product is not delivered on the next day, the ₹49 fees will automatically be refunded within the next 5-7 days. The Express Delivery option is only available for orders made between 12 AM and 3 PM so if you miss the deadline, you can try again at midnight.

If the idea takes off, we might even see Xiaomi offering an Express Delivery membership plan like Amazon Prime and Flipkart Plus.
