SOUTHERN RAILWAY CHARGES YOU FOR EXTRA LUGGAGE IN RESERVED COACHES

The southren railway has decided to put a limit on the luggage that can be carried by a passenger in trains, especially in the reserved coaches.

To check instances of excess luggage carried by passengers in trains, Railways plans to create awareness among passengers on the new rule from 8th to 22nd, 2018

Passengers are required to book their excess luggage at a counter at the station before boarding the train.

Passengers have to check in at the luggage counter at least 30 mins before the scheduled departure of the train. they can book their luggage allowances by producing their reserved or unreserved or unreserved ticket.

Advance booking of luggage is permitted only 24 hours before departure of the train.
