Airtel Users Can Now Ask Google Assistant For Their Account Balance

Airtel, one of the major telecom company in India integrates with Google assistant to answer users frequent questions regarding their account. Airtel users with a smartphone and Google Assistant will be able to get their basic questions answered by the AI-powered assistant.

This feature is available for both prepaid and postpaid users. By using Google assistant users can ask their frequent quires like data balance, main balance and best offers. 

Right now, these features are available in the English language only. Airtel confirmed that it would roll out the same queries in multiple regional languages to deliver an even more personalized experience to millions of Indians and encourage them to get online.

To achieve this, Bharti Airtel has collaborated with search giant Google in yet another industry first to simplify its customer service experience by integrating its customer care with the Artificial Intelligence-powered Google Assistant.

As mentioned above, Airtel users with a smartphone and Google Assistant will be able to get their basic questions answered by the AI-powered assistant. Right now, these features are available in the English language.

Both Airtel prepaid and postpaid customers can avail this new service, but to make use, there are some pre-fixed queries which a user should issue to Google Assistant.

Airtel prepaid users can ask queries such as What is my data balance, Best Offers, What is my account balance and Recharge, while postpaid users can check their current outstanding bill with the query ‘what is my current outstanding.’

Likewise, postpaid users can also ask service related questions such as Why is my bill so high? Bill Summary, Pay the bill, Current data usage? What is my current plan? What are available Airtel Postpaid Plans?

How to Link Your Airtel Account With Google Assistant?

First of all, to avail the service, Airtel users should link their account with Google Assistant. Android users should fire up the Google Assistant by pressing the home button, while iOS users should download the Google Assistant app on your smartphone. After firing up the Assistant, speak into assistant as Talk to AirtelAsk Airtel or Get Airtel.

Right after issuing the command, Airtel assistant will open within Google Assistant and to get your account details, the Airtel assistant will ask to link your Airtel account with Google. If you click yes within the assistant, you will be asked to enter your Airtel mobile number, accept the Terms and Service, and once you accept, you’ll receive an OTP. Enter the OTP to complete linking your account.

Once linked, you can start asking Google Assistant your Airtel account related questions.
